After research into Harjuku girls and ethereal and playful dreams being my link to the work gambol I have come up with these makeup charts for my editorial makeup shoot. The colours I have chosen to base my look on are white, iridescent pearl tones and like baby pink colours. with a natural, dewy and illuminated face.
My first design is inspired by a very minimal idea. The idea of a calm and peaceful, carefree makeup look with bleached eyebrows, a light lip and light makeup in general also with slicked back hair. I wanted to create the imagery of a pure and innocent girl. Which are some words that I looked into on Pinterest to inspire my looks. I think this look will be very simple to achieve and many models would suit this look.
This look is a lot more detailed and interesting and probably my favourite of the three. Still including the pink colour to reflect the innocence and youthfulness. However in this look the brows are very prominent including a pink tone at the front of the brow. The glitter is used as lipstick in this design and is also flickered around the eyes to create imagery reflecting dreams and galaxies, the idea of 'Big Dreams' was the inspiration for this design and the glitter creates a playful vibe around the image. I think this look would be interesting to create and would be a challenge. I would like to push myself as much as possible and I think this look will be very different from anything I have created in the past.
My final design is inspired by the extraordinary. The avant guarde definitely inspired my design process for this image. I want the eyes to pop and look large and doll like, while there is little to know eyebrow touch up, just natural. The lips will be the main focus with fake white eyelashes coming from inside the mouth with a baby pink lip to create a contrast and a interesting and unconventional approach to using makeup products. I think this look seems difficult however would actually be quite simple to achieve.
